Our team brings together a range of highly skilled professionals from multiple disciplines.

Andrew Inwood


Andrew Inwood is the principal of Janus Analytics and has more than 30 years’ experience in the Australian financial services industry. He started his career at Rothschild Australia Asset Management where he headed the marketing team for before moving to AMP Investments where he spent more than a decade. During his time at AMP he was seconded to Virgin Direct in the UK to help establish the finance and investment arm of the group.

Andrew returned to Australia to be Marketing Director of Wizard Home Loans. From Wizard he moved to Telstra where he spent three years as General Manager of Applications and hosted services before leaving to start up CoreData, the parent company of Janus Analytics.

Andrew is the author of more than 50 pieces of significant research into clients and their behaviour and has a particular focus on the value of the client experience in financial services. He is a highly regarded speaker and has delivered key note speeches in every Australian capital city, London, Edinburgh, New York, Tokyo, Queenstown, Monaco and Berlin. He has a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney A.S.I.A.

Outside of work Andrew is a keen ocean swimmer and sailor – he has completed the 26-mile Lanai to Maui Swim in Hawaii, raced regularly in Sydney harbour and has competed in every significant ocean race in Australia.

Tai Rotem


Tai is the Director of Research at Janus Analytics. He has been developing and implementing market research for more than 10 years with a wealth of experience and expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research.

In addition to market research exposure, Tai has more than 22 years’ international experience working in public health and social research for government bodies and NFP organisations. He has also taught statistical analysis and research methods at several universities and been published in peer-reviewed journals.

He has a Master of Public Health (by Research Thesis) and Bachelor of Social Science (Major in Psychology) from UNSW and is a fully accredited member of the Australian Market and Social Research Society of Australia.

Mark Brackenrig

Senior Data Scientist

Mark is the Lead Data Scientist at Janus Analytics. Mark is responsible for designing analytics strategies, database enhancement, predictive and segmentation modelling, and a range of other analytical solutions. Mark also leads innovation at Janus Analytics, responsible for R&D development of our solutions.

Mark was previously a Stream Lead Research Analyst at Rice Warner, where he was responsible for the maintenance and analysis of the group insurance database. He has completed a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Statistics) and is currently completing a Master of Data Science and Innovation at UTS.

Mark is a two-time national champion in Futsal, and he has competed twice internationally at the 2015 & 2017 AFF Futsal Club Championships in Thailand.

Josh Tucker

Head of Technology

Josh is an experienced web developer and is highly skilled in front-end and back-end web development. He has more than 15 years’ experience developing numerous websites, platforms and integrations for a range of clients in the local and international markets.

Recently returning to Sydney from London where he was working for global company Teradata, Josh joined Janus Analytics to develop the technical aspects of the solutions Janus provides, as well as the maintenance of Janus Analytics digital environment.

If he’s not working or travelling, you will find Josh at his local rugby club or spending time with family and friends.

Joe Cleaves

Data Analyst

Joe is a Data Analyst at Janus Analytics. Joe is responsible for designing analytics strategies, predictive modelling and segmentation modelling. Joe has experience working with fund managers, superannuation funds and insurers, producing data-driven analysis and research insights.

Joe is in the final year of a Bachelor of Actuarial Studies at UNSW.

Outside of work, Joe is a keen supporter of football and cricket, attending as many games as a busy work-study schedule can allow. Joe also has an interest in music and travel, and all things statistical and probabilistic.
